H1-B tax benefits

I heard that H1-B holder can enjoy up to 2 years tax treaty benefits. Is that true? I terminated my F-1 last May (then left for China). Then I entered US with H1-B visa last August. With more than 3 month gap between the two status, can I benefit from the tax treaty? Thanks.
