Yes, they are surely to ask for your W2 and Payrolls. You need to bring with you at least one-year W2 (all W2 if possible) and at least 3 most recent payrolls.

If your annual salary is below the prevailing salary, you can ask your attorney to change your H1B to part-time instead of full-time.

If I were you, I would not go back to China......
