请教: 公司不变,地址换了,申请H1B的amendment,却被background check

情况是这样,我老公公司律师7月12号交的材料,申请H1B的amendment,到现在还没消息,前两天我老公打电话咨询了一下,今天收到USCIS的信,说被delay了,要background investigation;即使background investigation完成了,还不能解决这个case. "These background checks are required to be completed on all applicants who apply for the immigration benefit you are seeking".

有没有哪位高手知道这是怎么回事?需要多久时间?万分感谢!
