From H1B to F2.. please help

Guys, Please help!!!

I was told my employement with the current company would be terminated on 2/27/04. Too sad.

My wife is in OPT now.. Is that still considered as F1?
I guess I have to transfer to F2 as soon as possible.
But she is out of country now. I do have copies of her I-20 and OPT card.

Any possible troubles to get F2 based on my situation? What should I do or pay attention?
We have applied Green Card through my company. But not even got Labor Certificate yet.

Please input your cents. I am desperate now.
