H1B extension withdraw

I485 submitted in 2002. On November 2003, filed H1B extension. And On December 2003, I485 approved. Is that necessary to withdraw H1B extension. What is potential result if I don't withdrw H1B extension.
I am afraid it may be treated as an intention to abort permanent resident status
