Just got laid off. Need urgent help on H1B from xiaobaitu and al

H1B 六年已用完，延的第七年明年2月底到期。LC(EB3)刚拿到，还未file I-140。

假设老东家愿意配合(诸如暂不取消H1,帮file 140)，我最关心我是否还可以继续在美国工作。我可以再找一个工作延我老的H1吗？没法file 485，是不是portability rule就不适用了？

我对移民规定不是很懂，可能问题也问不到点儿上。总之希望各位能指点一下我目前还有什么option吗？
