because you are already on F1, so you just need to extend you F1 by register at the end of your OPT in a new program to cover the gap. This way is very safe. However, you need to pay tuition. If you do not want to do that, you can file an 539 to change your status from F1 to B2 shortly and file H1 based on the B2 receipt.
