H1b visa application

I'll go back to China on a business trip this May. I'm now an H1b visa holder and in the process of applying for green card. I'll apply for visa in Beijing. Some of my friends told me that it's very risky and I might be denied a visa. However, the International Education Office of my school told me that I should have no problem at all to get a visa. Whom should I believe? I was once an F-1 visa holder and this is my first time of applying for H1b visa in Beijing.

Please help me with this. I need an answer urgently. Thank you in advance!
