H1-B layoff

The submission of I-140 indicates the applicant's immigrational intention, so what option does a H1B worker have if he/she got fired or company goes out of business after the I-140 submission?

1. transfer to F2 if he/she has a spouse as student?
2. transfer to B1-2?
3. H1B transfer to another company if he/she got lucky to have another job handy?
