It's not a problem for you and I don't see why you think you cannot keep this offer.
You can certainly work using OPT for one more year until August 2007, and in April 2007 have company file H1b for FY2008. You can take a vacation back in China between august and late Sept 2007, and returned with H1 visa stamp before new H1 starts.
