F1-H1B Qs, please respond

Hi, everyone,

I am a PhD student on F1. Now I want to quit the study and use my master degree to apply for H1B. If it is granted, can I switch to H1B right away, even in the middle of the semeter? What are the proper procedures I need to follow? Thank you
