H1B 从 filed a Prevailing Wage Request 到最后等到消息，需要多长

学校帮我申请H1B，想知道一下进展，由于第一次申请，不知道到最后还需要多长时间。
问了秘书，他说 beore able to file with USCIS, 他也没有确切的消息给我。
问问这儿的有经验的大侠，一般情况要多长时间我能知道最后消息或者说我能去大使馆签证了？
不知道问的是不是外行了？
