Should I ask them to offer me a H1B visa? Thanks a lot

Want to accept a 1-year Lecturer position. Should I ask them to offer me a H1B visa? Is there a time interval requirment between this job and another one? Or use my OPT? I haven't graduated yet. Many thanks for any of your help.
