Filing 140 has nothing related with the NT application. Either 140 is pending/dined/approved will not affect your TN. TN is not renewable if and only if you filed 485 or on the way to CP. I renewed my TN after my 140 approved without any problems. Although Canadian does not need H Visa stamp, your employer still need to apply it for you(129/797)...
