h1-b visa stamping in Toronto (urgent help)

Hi,
I have an appointment to get h1-b visa stamp on Jan. 25 in Toronto. I bought plane ticket and booked hotel, but have been advised not to leave the country. (by my parents).
Can someone please tell me what are my risks? My situation is, I came to states in 1999 on L2 visa, then changed to F-1 (finished undergrad in US 2005). Now I just got h1-b approved in Nov. I have been visiting home every year or so.
What do you think are the chances that I won't be able to get the visa?
