H1-B transfer-employment lette

I submitted employment contract which indicate term, human resources still asked for employment letter. I don't know what's difference. I haven't resigned from current employer, feel difficult to ask a employment letter. Any suggestions? Instead of employment letter, paystud is OK? thanks for your advice.
