他结婚了吗？

德国人，男，从不戴戒指。他本人50出头。我本来对他有点兴趣。但是后来知道他有father-in-law, 还有一个三，四岁的女儿。我非常惊讶。他结婚了吗？德国人结婚不戴婚戒吗？还是同居就管女友的父亲叫father-in-law?

我对他已没兴趣 (never think I could be a step-mother). 只是好奇。谢谢大家。
