is it common to have medical practices in a residential building

My daughter is going to Paris for exchange study one year. She is renting an apartiment at rue de sevres in 7th arrondissement. There are some businesses in that building, like dentist and foot therpist.Is it common to have small businesses in a residential building in Paris? Do I need to worry about the safety and sanitization of the building?Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks
