 Maybe you know this already, but what fundamentally changed AVGO is acquisation of Broadcom in 2016. I got in at 2018 as I really like that acquisation, and since then Tan has made many strategic acquisation (most recently VMware).

In 2018, Broadcom's gross margin was 50%, and operating margin was 24.6%. Most recently, they sit at 65%+ and 45%+.

Tan is one of the most respected business leader in the industry
