XLK vs VGT: 从reddit上转来的

XLK beats VGT slightly over any significant period of time since VGT's inception... but the smallest difference is going back to the day VGT started... that difference is +1136.72% to +1130.44%, so it hasn't really mattered at all.

The difference between the two is XLK is 67 holdings (all of which are in the S&P500) while VGT is 315 holdings and includes a lot of small caps.

I hold XLK because I believe XLK will continue to outperform the smaller caps in VGT as long as interest rates are high.

If you personally want more diversity, go with VGT. If you want more of the tech big caps, go with XLK. As I said, I suspect it will matter a bit during high interest rates, but in the long run it probably won't matter enough to spend much time thinking about.

The simplest thing though is to invest now in both equally, and over time if your opinion changes, focus further contributions on one over the other.
