I installed xiaomi home gateway and water leak detectors

The gateway always asks for software update. I cannot keep up. Pretty annoying. Easier to use loud water leak detectors you can buy from home deport/lowes/Amazon. I did buy and put it under water heater, bathrooms, toilet, faucet at one rental. Need to get more for other rentals. The battery lifetime only 2 years.

There is fancy automatic controllable valve that can detect leak and turn off water but you need to get a plumber to install that.

My plumber suggests inspection under kitchen/tub... once a few years in crawl space.
