But I have read in both Chinese and English sites, that Egypt is a country you definitely would be better off to have a guide, unless you are very familiar of the country, i.e. been there several times, and have friends / family there...
A very usefulness of the guide is he can take care of countless 骚扰 from street vendors or anyone tries to get a few Le from you by offering this and that... Even crossing the extremely busy street in Cairo, the guide can make the crossing much safer. I am not kidding.
