current RIR EB3 and PERM

I am currently working as a software engineer with H1B and have been with my current employer for nearly 4 year. My RIR EB3 was just submitted before March 28, 2005.

My friend owns a small company which has 40 employees and has been in business for 15 years. He is willing to do me a favor for my green card application--to help me do PERM with EB2. I do not want to quit my current job until I have to do that. Can anyone give some advices?
