NIW & EB-2 LC simultaneously?

Dear friends

My employer has agreed to support my application through labor certification (PERM). Can anyone tell me if I can file by myself an EB-2 NIW simultaneously but separately? Is there any negative effect if two separate applications are submitted at the same time?
