You are right. I just got the RFE email notification. I haven't recieved it yet. I am sure it will ask for an EVL because I was laid off last year. My current employer is not the employer that sponsored my I-140. In the EVL, does my current employer need to state my current salary?

-Yes, but the salary does not matter to your I485 as long as your new job is in the same/similar area, you will be fine..
