you know 140 EB2 in CA center

I submitted my I140/485 at the same time last year, 10/10/2003.
I called CVS center today , they said they are working on 12/29/2003 file, and
they don't have any information on my file yet. Is thst usual?
I heard the rumor is if you submit 140/485 at the same, it will take longer because they have to approve the 485 at the same?
Please let me know if you have same experience?
