as I know, the lawyer should prepare a letter, this letter is address to CIS, and must be signed by the DEAN of the college or university to confirm that your position is a permanent position, (usually is you take this letter to the department which in charge of these things, like Faculty Affairs? when you get it signed, send back to the lawyer) that's very important, without this letter CIS would deny your application.

i also remember there some forms the lawyer should get them ready for you to sign.
