Need Help! is it necessary to file EB2 again?

I am currently is EB3. my PD is 11/8/2002. Based on the current visa process, I will not have any hope in 3 years. My hu*****and could apply NIW. EB2 seems much faster. can somebody give me any suggestions? Is it necessary to get file his NIW now? Based on the current EB2 process, he may be faster than I am.
