eb1 and eb2 filed together

my lawyer filed eb1 and eb2 togehter for me. My eb2 (niw) was approved, but eb1 is still pending and requires for addtional evidence. Can I just give up my eb1? Will it cause some problems to my application for I-485? Any helpful or comments are highly appreciated.
