EB1-OR sponsor needs to be a research /company /college /university.
And you need to have a tenured / tenure-track / permanent position doing mostly research.

You also need to have acomplishments at the level that universities / companies are usually asking for from a new assistant professor or similar / higher.

Typical successful beneficiary would be a tenure-track assistant professor in a department / school offering doctoral program(s) (PhD or other doctorates) or a researcher at a prominent lab or big company R&D department.
