我在想是不是应该让帮你写推荐信的人把联系电话写在推荐信中，
-That is common sense in the letter in US.

听说移民局可能会给推荐人打电话。

或者是问对方要一份简历。
-Had better provide it if the reference does not introduce himself/herself in the beginning of the recommendation letter.
