You need to ask your Dean, Department Chair or Human Resources Director or Vice President of Academic affairs (any one of them is OK) to write a letter indicating your position title, job responsiblities, and whether tenure or tenure track. if your position is non-tenure track research or teaching position, you had better ask the Dean/Chair/VP/HR Director to inidcate that this position has no limit term and is renewable and thus, Dr. XXX has the expectation to be employed continually, etc.
You may talk to the person you ask for the letter whether you can draft the letter and ask him/her to sign it for you.
