EB1A 140批了，本来最难的一关过了，应该欢天喜地的递485。但是工作出了点问题，未来几周有失业的危险。这种情况下应当选择什么时候递485，几个问题如下：

1） 140有没有expire一说，
-No.
就是说是不是必须在140 approve后若干时间内递485，否则会失效？
-No time limit to file I-485.

有的话，是多久？

2）如果迅速递了485（在可能的失业前），
-if you do not change your status to another non-immigration status (e.g. H1 to H4) when you are laid off, you have to file your I-485 before you are laid off to get the AOS to stay. But you may get the RFE after you file I-485.

但由于RFE来时没法提供EVL或者新的offer，485不幸被拒的话，以后找到工作再申请绿卡是从140重头开始，

还是原来的140继续有效，再file 新的485就可以了？
-Yes, but you need to have a non-immigration status or parolee status to be qualified for another I-485 filing. So, if you can change your status to H4, you may not file I-485 until you find a new job in the same/similar area.

3）EB1A的485是不是会快一些，目前大约多久啊，期间一定会收到RFE吗？
-Case by case, but should be in a short period of time after you file I-485 because the PA is current for EB1A.
