EB1b, 09/2005, VSC to TSC, I-485 approved

After almost 2 years waiting, finally we are there.

09//2005 concurrently filed I-140/I-485 at VSC (EB1b)
01/2006 I-140 was approved (no RFE)
11/2005 first FP (all were code3)
About 03/2006 (can’t remember exactly) got a RFE for daughter’s 485 (ask for X-ray result because she didn’t do TB test: the doctor said she didn’t need to do that)
Nothing happened since then.
03/2007 transfer to TSC
05/2007 second FP (LG’s & mine were code1, our daughter’s was code3)

02/2007 wrote letters to the First Lady and the Director of FBI
03/2007 received a letter from First Lady’s office
04/2007 received a letter from FBI: LG’s NC was cleared in Nov 2005. My document was transferred from USCIS to FBI on Apr X, 2007 and was cleared on the same day. Our daughter’s was transferred several days later than mine and was cleared on the same day.
Never heard anything from the director of FBI 

Called 1-800 number of USCIS in May and received a letter from USCIS told still pending.
Last update of my case was on Jul 11, the other two didn’t get any update since 2nd FP.
07/31/2007 I-485 approved: Card production ordered for LG & me, requesting additional evidence for our daughter (don’t know why and for what, but not worry too much).
08/01/2007 Approved notice mailed.

体会：
1． 不必过于着急，绿卡早晚都能够拿到，看你的运气程度。越早递交越好，即使没打算留下来，有条件也申请，因为情况也许会发生变化，就多了些选择。
2． 很多人担心姓名和背景调查，但是我们的NC都是FBI从移民局拿到资料后当天就给通过了，似乎并不是想象中的复杂。
3． 给第一夫人写信还是有帮助的，已经回信感谢，希望能够有更多的后来人获益。有人也给议员写信。我想写信总没害处吧，运气好的话可能就会得到帮助。感谢spagetti，你的帖：“sample letter to the first lady about name check“给我帮助很大。虽然是根据自己的情况自己写的信，但是根据给出的样板写就容易多了，不用去构思结构了。感谢。链接：http://web.wenxuecity.com/BBSView.php?SubID=immigration&MsgID=258680
4． 给USCIS挂电话似乎没用（我的情况是如此）。
5． 感谢我的一位非常要好的朋友，从还没来到这个国家，我就一直得到她的无私帮助，是她的鼓励，我才能赶在那个黑十月前递交了申请。
6． 感谢这个版上的许多能人，尤其是小白兔，能长期不厌其烦地给大家排忧解惑，真是难得。也提醒新人，有问题时先在版里搜索，找不到再问。
7． 感谢版里的各位兄弟姐妹，心情郁闷时，心里没着落时，来这里看看，感觉一条船上坐着许多的兄弟姐妹，就感觉心里踏实些。
