transfer/link previouly filed I-485 to EB1B I-140

I have seen this question being asked many times here without concrete answers. I am echoing it again since my EB-1 becomes current today.

NIW, RD 09/23/05 with I-485 concurrently filed, pending.
EB1B, AD 04/18, Current.

Is it possible to transfer (or link) my I-485 concurrently filed with NIW I-140 to my approved EB1B I-140? Some one suggested to wait until NIW I-140 is approved. Suppose I can wait, but again, what is the step-by-step process. Could that be DIY?
