我先生的EAD 已经交了好几个月了，也有receipt number，他的TN 到今年4月就过期了，请问，EAD 的180天extension可以用在他目前的状况吗？

-No. The 180-day rule only applies to the certian kind of EAD renewal applications, not to the new EAD application.

如果不能，他该怎么办？

-He has to stop working after the TN I-94 expires until the EAD application is approved.
