我的工作签证9月30日到期，工作许可证到现在还没有下来，从法律上讲没有拿到工作许可证是不能工作的。但我所在公司希望我能在家上班或者还是到公司上班，但暂时不发给我薪水。等我的工作许可证拿到后，再以bonus的方式把薪水补给我。请问这样做违法吗？

- It is in violation while a short period is normally not noticeable, plus even it is determined a violation it will not hurt your I-485 if it is less than 180 days (including all your other OOS if applicable).
