回复：fingerprinting for EAD paper filing

The receiving date for renew of my EAD is 05/05/10. I called Nebraska center today to expendiate it since it is over 75 days already and I was told I need fingerprinting and will take 45 days to receive the fingerprinting notice. Please help me here:

1. Is fingerprinting required for EAD application (paper filing)?
-No if your EAD is based on EB I-485. The officer who answered the phone mislead you.

2. My EAD will be expired on 08/21/10. Is there any way I can expendiate the process if fingerprinting is really needed?
-If your EAD is pending for > 90 days, just visit the USCIS local office and they will push USCIS to approve your case in a few days.
