我和楼主是相同的情况。可是我学校的国际办公室的人说如我没按时收到新的EAD卡我就必须停止工作，

直到收到新卡才能重新开始。没有他们出示的I-9 表，HR的人不愿给我延工作合同。

请问老师什么地方可以找到USCIS的相关说法让国际办公室的人相信在换卡期间我可以合法工作?
-The EAD you received is the evidence for you to work legally no matter whether it is one year or two year term. If USCIS issue one year EAD to you, you just show your one year EAD to HR, HR will file the I-9 for you and you can work. Then, you can send the EAD back to USCIS to get the repalcement for two year EAD if you are qualified for that. You do not need to tell HR you will replace the EAD because they do not know the immigration law. Once you get the two year EAD, you can show it to HR before the previous EAD expires.
