Since I am in AOS status based on EB-2, it should not be a problem to switch to another AOS (family based), right?
-No switch is related. As long as you have pending I-485 and you hav no non-immigration status, you are in AOS.

Do you know if new I-485 petition will automatically invalidate the previous employment based I-485?
-No. Only if one of your I-485 is approved, will the other I-485 be denied.
