No one can guarantee...

You are not guaranteed to have the green card even if your PD is less than one year of the cut-off date, based on the fact that the cut-off dates moved forward and backward so dramatically over previous years. My PD was less than half year of the cut-off date when I renewed my EAD. Submit a new EAD application form with your EAD card.
