My current EAD card will expire next month and a renewl has been filed in early Sept. If I don't receive it by the expiration date, can I go to the INS local office to have them issue the new card on the spot?
Yes, you can go there but they won't issue the new card for you . Renew an EAD needs 3 months ahead. After you filed your renew EAD 90 days, if you do not get the new one, some offices maybe isssue you a temporary EAD.
