About EAD for jpiang and XBT

My EAD is going to be expried on 10/06/08. My RD is 06/30/05, and I-140 was approved on 2/2/06. My I-485 is going to be current next month. Do I have to renew my EAD.Called USCIS, and the lady said i could wait. Any suggestions?
