H1B expired... EAD(I-765) not approved yet...

Hi Everyone, do I have to stop working in this situation?

H1B expires at 6/1
I-765, I-485 (through marriage) filed early this past April, case stands at national benefit center, not approved yet.

Do I have to stay at home if my H1B expires before either I-765 or I-485 get approved? What alternative i can take to keep working during this period?
