need urgent help about EAD & i-140

Dear folks,

Here's my case. I-140 & I-485 filed concurrently in Jan 2008. Now, I got laid -off but the employer will not withdraw the i-140 filing. I just received the EAD card. Can I use it for my next job? I know i-140 denial will automatically deny i-485 and I will be out of status, but what is the probability that my case will be denied? I checked www.trackitt.com and do not see many denial cases. What's your opinion? Thanks for the comment/help.
