请问: 用EAD for Summer Intern - PD 12/2003, 140/485 filed 6/2007 pe

Currently on H-1B 7th year with primary employer. There is a very good summer internship opportunity to gain new skills in an unrelated field this summer 2008. Can I use EAD card to work for 2 months, and take leave-without-pay from current employer? If yes, can I return to H1B status after back to current employer?
