when you use part time EAD, your current H1b is nullified.
If I use EAD to work on a part-time job, then I will be on AOS. What is the impact on my H-1B then?
Your H1b is invalid.
Do I lose my H-1b status?
Yes, you will be on AOS only.
Is my extention application still valid? Can I still use H-1B visa stamp to travel abroad?
When you get your H1b extension approval, you will need to go outside to activate H1.
If I used EAD on part-time job, do I have to use EAD on my full time job?
Yes. Since you only has EAD to work.
Can I have both form of work authorization?
Only EAD available.
Do I need to notify my full time job employer if I use my EAD?
yes.
If I don't want to renew EAD next year, can I use H-1B? Or if there is a gap in EAD, can I use H-1B?
H1b has to be continuous. You cannot.
I did read Pjiang's blog regarding EAD and AP, but I still don't really understand the consequence of using EAD. It seems to me the most disadvantage for using EAD is losing status right away when I-485 denied. However, in my case, H-1b extenstion is based on I-485, my H-1b will be void right away when I-485 rejected anyway, isn't it?
Yes, your additional H1b period will be invalid when 485 gets rejected.
So, why not just use EAD?
