EAD AND GREEN CARD

I’m now holding H1B and with I-485 pending status. I want to change a job that requires candidates with green card. May I qualify for this position by just showing them my EAD card when I start to work register with HR? Is there any problem by doing this way? When the hiring manger asked about immigrant status, can I say I’m green card holder to secure the position (actually holding EAD now)?
