EAD question, XiaoBaiTu, PLEASE

July 21 mailed the package. to the center where my family based 485 was submitted last year, We moved since.

Aug, 3, check cashed.
got a letter yesterday for biometrics appointment( Aug. 23rd), which was designated at a local office where we moved to.


questions:

1.is this unusual to take biometrics when I filed via mailing instead e -
file?
I heard only E- filing needs new biometrics.
2. how long it takes to get the approval after biometrics
3. pregnant women don't have to be concerned with this kinda test, right?
I can recall biometrics seems to be only taking finger prints, so..
