impact of change of status from H4 to EAD

My wife (dependent) and I (principal) are now in I-485 pending status. I’m still keeping my H-1 for work. The question is that if both of our EAD was approved, and my wife wanted to switch from her current H4 to EAD, does this change impact my H1 status? I prefer to work with H1, instead of EAD, even it was approved then.
